When to call us
Signs your pet may need a sick visit.
Not every symptom requires an emergency room. Many common concerns can be evaluated and treated in the home. Call us if you notice any of the following:
Vomiting or diarrhea
Occasional or persistent, especially if lasting more than 24 hours or accompanied by lethargy.
Loss of appetite
Refusing food for more than a day, or a sudden change in eating habits.
Lethargy or weakness
Unusual tiredness, reluctance to move, or decreased interest in normal activities.
Coughing or sneezing
Persistent respiratory symptoms, nasal discharge, or labored breathing.
Skin or coat changes
Excessive scratching, hair loss, lumps, rashes, or changes in skin texture.
Eye or ear concerns
Discharge, redness, swelling, odor, or your pet pawing at their face.
Important — we are not an emergency service
If your pet is experiencing a life-threatening emergency — difficulty breathing, collapse, seizures, severe trauma, or suspected poisoning — please go to your nearest 24-hour emergency animal hospital immediately. Do not wait for a callback. See our emergency resources →
